Ms. Gong specializes in cross-border dispute resolution, including preliminary management of potential disputes, foreign-related domestic commercial disputes, international arbitration, offshore litigation, and cross-border enforcement. Ms. Gong is admitted to practice in China and the State of New York in the US.

Against the backdrop of The Belt and Road Initiative and Going Overseas by Chinese enterprises, Ms. Gong is dedicated to assisting domestic clients with resolving cross-border disputes in a cost-efficient and effective manner and strives to achieve optimal outcomes for the clients.

For potential cross-border disputes, Ms. Gong regularly conducts preliminary legal analysis and offers strategic advice, helping the clients resolve disputes at an early stage. In international arbitration, Ms. Gong has acted as counsel and advised in commercial and investment arbitrations administered by arbitral institutions (ICC, HKIAC, LCIA) as well as under ad hoc arbitration rules (UNCITRAL), including emergency arbitrator proceedings under the relevant arbitration rules. In the foregoing international arbitrations, Ms. Gong commonly works with foreign lawyers and experts in relation to core governing law issues and technical matters. In addition, Ms. Gong frequently collaborates with foreign lawyers, assisting Chinese clients in offshore litigations, cross-border enforcement, and other offshore judicial proceedings.

Ms. Gong has also represented clients in foreign-related domestic litigation and arbitration cases and been involved in providing legal opinions to foreign lawyers or judicial authorities on specific Chinese law issues.

Ms. Gong handles disputes under common law and civil law, relating to infrastructure and construction, energy, trade, and financial services, around the globe (Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North and South (Latin) America, and the Caribbean).

Ms. Gong believes in providing professional and detail-oriented legal services and is adept at dealing with disputes in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment. Prior to joining V&T, Ms. Gong worked for Zhong Lun Law Firm in Beijing. Prior to starting her practice, Ms. Gong worked as a judicial extern for Judge Thomas M. Durkin at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago.
